Tendon and Bone injuries are curable. This combination of Comfrey with other herbs promotes the re-growth of attachment points and the re-tensioning of stretched or damaged ligaments. Comfrey is a stimulant to fibroblast and osteoblast activity due to its allantoin content. It is also the highest vegetable source of Vitamin B 12.
A horse from a line susceptible to tendon or bone problems should be supplemented with small doses of this mixture after weaning and again as a yearling for a few months each time before putting it into work, thereby avoiding a whole career dogged by injury.
The treatment is formulated as a mush in a base of ground roots and seeds high in silica, calcium, minerals and trace elements. A cupful is mixed with feed and given twice daily.
Alcohol Extract Form :- This 500ml bottle for $165.00 will last between 10-12 weeks.
The preparation is to be given as follows:
Add 60 drops of the extract mix to a cup or more of boiling water ( this is to drive the alcohol off the dose being given). Then, mix this with a dessertspoon of kelp powder or granules into a cup of ground millet and linseed combination and give to the horse mixed in feed.
If ground millet and linseed are not available you will need to boil the whole seeds together which turns into a sort of porridge and a cup of this is given in place of the cup of ground seed combination. You can make up a batch for two or three days and keep it refrigerated if you wish.
What we are aiming for is to minimise the alcohol to which your horse is exposed and to avoid the risks associated with the whole linseeds being given . They are rendered safe by grinding or by boiling into a porridge but should not be fed fresh and whole.

Tendon Cream

Ligament Damage, Tendonitis and Shin soreness are best treated by using a specially prepared external cream in conjunction with the Tendon and Bone Treatment [immediately above], which is given internally .
The cream can be used preventatively for any animal susceptible to such problems by applying the cream sparingly, once per day, to the affected area.
